The state-by-state list, published by Tasting Table, focuses on restaurants serving standout French fries across the US.
Tasting Table said it relied heavily on local opinion from forums such as Reddit and review platforms, including Yelp and Tripadvisor. The site said it considered both plain and loaded fries, but looked for praise of the fries themselves, not just the toppings.

Shock and sadness spread throughout Keyport after Old Glory Kitchen & Spirits announced it shut its doors on Monday, Feb. 23, the restaurant said.

People loved their roast sandwiches. But for one eatery in Burlington County, it wasn't enough.
Zaddy's, at 1 Madison Ave. in Mount Holly, announced it is shutting down on Sunday, Feb. 22, after less than two years in business.

New Eatery Brings Bold Indian Flavors To Middletown: Already Has Rave Reviews
A burst of delicious Indian flavors has arrived in Orange County, where a new eatery is now drawing crowds with an enormous menu of South and North Indian dishes after opening its doors earlier this year.
Dosa Grill, located in Middletown at 265 Route 211, opened in September and, since then, has received plenty of praise from visitors.

Patron Sets Fire Inside East Islip Pub And Grill Before Fleeing: Police
A man was arrested after a fire was intentionally set inside a popular Long Island restaurant on Thursday, Nov. 10, according to Suffolk County Police.
The blaze broke out at Riley Fibbers on 148 Carleton Avenue, East Islip, at approximately 7:30 p.m. after a patron ignited the back area of the building, prompting an evacuation, police said. No injuries were reported.
